A reading companion for families: your child reads a real book (paper or otherwise), then takes a short comprehension quiz here. We track their reading level and what they've read, and we can send you a weekly progress email. Like the reading quizzes kids do at school — but for any book your child picks, at home.

Every quiz is built from the real book. We pull a verified plot from trusted published sources — publisher synopses, reviews, and reference material — and write the questions only from that, so nothing is invented from thin air. Popular titles are reviewed before they go in our catalog, and every question has a "Report" button — if your child hits one that's off, report it and we'll pull it quickly. Quiz quality is the thing we care about most.

Our catalog has 1,000+ popular children's books with ready quizzes, and you can add almost any kids' book by title or its ISBN barcode. If we can't build a trustworthy quiz immediately, we'll tell you — and notify your child in the app once their quiz is ready (usually by the next morning).

ReadZoo Level is our 1–12 reading-level scale. It's built from verified reading-level data and correlates closely with school reading-level scales like ATOS® and Lexile® — so a ReadZoo 4.5 reads like the 4.5 your child's school uses. Levels move automatically as your child takes quizzes: only books with verified levels affect their score.

Parents create and own all accounts. We collect the minimum needed to make the product work — a first name or nickname, grade, and reading activity for each child — and we never show ads or sell data. Details in our Privacy Policy.
